Our tutor, Adam Bromley, has worked in radio comedy for over a decade and has won 2 Sony Awards for Comedy for "Think the Unthinkable" and "The Now Show" for BBC R4.

Adam has generated 13 original series commissions for network radio. He has produced and executive-produced shows for R4, 4Xtra, R2, 5 Live and BBC London. Currently he is a regular guest on TalkRADIO and BBC London doing a comedic review of the news.

The £90 "Early Bird" fee is available until 11pm April 15th.
The "Late Booker" fee for the day is £110.

These both include post-event production and delivery of a short radio sketch, recorded as part of the workshop.

Outline of the day:

- Overview of radio comedy past and present
- Fundamentals / radio comedy 101
- Sketch writing & sitcom writing
- Comedy podcasts
- Writing exercise
- Radio performance tips
- Recording the writing exercise
- Guidance on pitching to broadcasters and finding your audience

The Archway area venue has a recording studio set up for each student to record their short sketch towards the end of the day. An edited version of each sketch with sound FX and music (if required) will be sent via Wetransfer, within 2 weeks.

Adam’s experience ranges from sitcom, stand-up, sketch show, topical news, panel shows, quizzes and live comedy. He has pretty much done the lot: audience, non-audience, Edinburgh one-offs, location and secret recordings etc.

Talent that Adam has been lucky enough to work with includes Punt and Dennis, Jon Holmes, Clive Anderson, Robert Bathurst, Sharon Horgan, Jimmy Carr, Jenny Eclair, Marcus Brigstocke, Caroline Quentin, Paul Whitehouse, Olivia Colman, John Oliver, Sally Hawkins, Rob Webb and David Mitchell to name but a few.

Places for this Workshop are strictly limited.
